Folk at the Factory in Fleckney

We are hosting another Folk at the Factory in Fleckney this Friday, 1st June, at 7.30pm with all proceeds going to MND and Bloodwise.  This is the ninth folk concert that our Managing Director, Nic, has been involved in hosting/organising for charity.   Nic and his partner Jacky also perform at the concerts.  The previous concerts held here at the Factory have been very well supported.  Tickets cost £5 (or more if you can afford it)  and can be purchased on the door.  There is plenty of parking available at the Factory.  Tea and coffee will be provided and you are welcome to bring your own alcohol.  If you enjoy folk music this is sure to be a great night out.

Hope to see you there!

New Candle Mould

How good does our new three-wick candle look on the tray with all the cacti and succulents.  This is our latest candle mould design and we are currently working on an insert for it which will mean it can be used to make sections for cake slice or wedge-shaped designs.  These will make fab bath bombs and decorative candles.  The candle mould is currently available on the website and comes with a wick holder.  The insert will be available soon so keep checking back.  We are also working on some new designs.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week.

Simply Prooped Weekend, 2018

We hosted the second Simply Prooped weekend on Saturday and Sunday at our shop/warehouse here in Fleckney.  The weekend was organised by Mel ( and Fiona from the Facebook group, Simply Stamped UK and myself and in total we had 25 people from all over the country.

The weekend consisted of demonstrations and workshops.  We had demonstrations of glass fusing, resin casting, basic soldering and bezel cup setting, Keum Boo techniques,  sawing techniques, hot and cold enamelling, rolling mill techniques and general stamping.  There was lots of laughter and chat, as I’m sure you can imagine with 25 like-minded women all in one place!

In between the demonstrations there was time for everyone to have a go and try out the techniques demonstrated.

The weekend was a huge success with everyone leaving with more knowledge, product samples and in some cases lighter purses and new tools.  It was also a chance for everyone from the Facebook group to meet in real life.

A big thank you to Mel and Fiona for all of the organisation, to everyone who brought the lovely food and delicious cakes and to the ladies who gave demonstrations.  Hopefully we’ll see you all again next year!

Have a look at some of the photographs from the weekend below.

How many of you, like me, spent your bank holiday weekend gardening rather than facing the traffic and crowds to head to the coast?  I spent a few hours weeding, tidying and planting in the sunshine then sat back, enjoyed the sun and viewed my efforts with a cold drink in hand.

I made use of lots of our gardening products, some old favourites and some of our newer products and I have to tell you I’m loving our new tree and cabbage protector mats.  The cabbage plant root protectors go around the base of the plants to protect them from weeds, root fly, slugs and snails.  They are so easy to pop on and are re-usable so after the current season’s crops have been harvested they can be cleaned and stored for the next time.  The tree protectors stop the growth of grass and weeds around the base of trees which means you don’t have to use the strimer around the trunk, just mow around the protector – so much easier!  I’m also hoping to get some metal stamping done for plant/herb labels, I’ve seen a few ideas on Pinterest and Instagram and some of them look great and so easy to make, and again these can be saved and re-used.

We also sell fence caps and finials, hose reels and seed trays.  Why not pop over to our gardening section and have a look at our products.

Here’s hoping the sun is here to stay for a while.  Thanks for stopping by.  Have a great week!

DIY Disaster?

Are you a DIY disaster?  Maybe you just need the right tools for the job.  Why not check out our range of tools to help you with lots of DIY jobs around the house, whether it’s wallpapering, plastering and tiling or just hanging a picture we’ve got tools to make the job easier.  Pop over to our DIY and Gardening section and have a look.

Most of our DIY tools are made right here in our factory by our parent company Linic Plastics and where possible are made using recycled plastic.
