Here we have our new multi-curved anticlastic sinusoidal forming stake and repouse or marking out forming hammer (note you get 1 stake, picture is showing the back profile).
- hardwood handle chaser hammer, brilliant for shaping metals pistol grip handle for comfy grip;

- head diameter 25mm OR 1";

The stake is made and designed by our parent company Linic Plastics Ltd.
Made form extremely hard high performance thermo plastic.
Outside radius 4,8,10,15,20mm.
Inside radius 8,10,15,20mm.
Diameter length 280mm.
Thickness 20mm tapering down to 10mm.
This tool is used to form compound curves in sheet metal.
Using this process the metal is compressed in the centre and stretched on the edges ... the resulting form is that of a saddle or once you pop you never stop pringle (crisp) shape.
Anticlastic raising is usually done using a combination of steel and plastic.
It is better to use a plastic stake and a steel hammer as using a steel stake you may find you have a lot of planishing to do and also offers less control.
