Here we have our new multi-curved anticlastic sinusoidal forming stake ( note you get 1 stake pic 2 is showing the back profile).
Made and designed by our parent company Linic Plastics Ltd.
Made from extremely hard high performance thermo plastic.
Outside radius 4,8,10,15,20mm.
Inside radius 8,10,15,20mm.
Dia length 280mm.
Thickness 20mm tapering down to 10mm.
This tool is used to form compound curves in sheet metal.
Using this process the metal is compressed in the centre and stretched on the edges ... the resulting form is that of a saddle or once you pop you never stop pringle (crisp) shape.
Anticlastic raising is usually done using a combination of steel and plastic.
It is better to use a plastic stake and a steel hammer as using a steel stake you may find you have a lot of planishing to do and also offers less control.
