Here we have our new multi curved anticlastic sinusoidal forming stake and pink nylon wedge/flat head hammer set.
Both products are designed, tooled and manufactured by our parent company Linic Plastics Ltd.
Pink nylon hammer wedge/flat head hammer with wooden handle.
- Dimensions:
- Overall head length: approx 4.5”
- Flat end: approx 1.2" wide.
- Wedge end: approx 1/8" in thickness.
- Non marking hammer for forming and shaping soft metals.
- The wedge end can be used for tight spots, perfect forming and shaping soft and precious metals- sheet metals without marking.
Sinusoidal stake:
- The stake is made form extremely hard high performance thermo plastic.
- Outside radius 4,8,10,15,20mm.
- Inside radius 8,10,15,20mm.
- Dia length 280mm.
- Thickness 20mm tapering down to 10mm.
- This tool is used to form compound curves in sheet metal.
- Using this process the metal is compressed in the centre and stretched on the edges ... the resulting form is that of a saddle or once you pop you never stop pringle (crisp) shape.
Anticlastic raising is usually done using a combination of steel and plastic.
It is better to use a plastic stake and a steel hammer as using a steel stake you may find you have a lot of planishing to do and also offers less control.
