The nine metal clay delrin stakes are designed for metal clay.
A delrin stake is chosen as a core for the metal clay to be formed on.
The stand will hold the metal clay stakes as the work is being modelled.
Hollow domed forms are possible by working the shape on a delrin Stake.
Concave shapes can be textured or sculpted after the shape is removed from the delrin Stake.
Combing two domed shapes with clay slip will form a bead.
The metal clay stakes can be filed or ground with flexible shaft burs to form different cores to work the metal clay over.
The stakes may also be turned with a miniature lathe to produce very small core shapes.
The delrin stakes must not be carved with undercuts as this will make the metal clay snag as it is removed.
